It was a very dark and cold Sunday morning – well, it was half past 4 am anyway, but it was a dark morning and you could feel the tiredness of everybody standing next to the bus station while waiting for the bus. We were pushed for time, due to our early take-off in Berlin Tegel at 10:45 am. We had a nice flight except the tumultuous landing at Dublin Airport, just because the pilot had to land two times on the airfield. Later we went by bus to the B&B Anchor guesthouse, where we could deposit our suitcases.
After a small break, we left the B&B and walked to the Connolly train station, which was just a few minutes away. There we waited for the DART railway to get to Howth. In Howth, we got free time and so I could go for something to eat. I went to the “Famous Fish & Chips” restaurant near the harbour. After that, I went to the “Claremont beach“, which is located behind the DART station. The beach looked well, but it was a bit messy, because you could see rubbish.
Round about one hour later, we decided to go back to the guesthouse and there I went to a supermarket near the B&B and bought something to drink.
In conclusion, our first day in Dublin was very tough and amazing.
